Art is powerful! This past weekend I was fortunate to be able to participate in an exciting and empowering event in Washington DC, called the Power of Art. This event is organized and funded by the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation. We learned about learning differences at the Lab School of Washington and the unique ways that their teachers inspire and instruct. We also spent time in the ArtLab+ at the Hershhorn Museum, learning about digital media and how we can implement it more in our classrooms. These are just a couple highlights from the trip, it was jam packed with exceptional experiences and was an extremely inspiring time. I am looking forward to bringing back my experiences to school to help my kids to see art as the powerful force that it is!
